This is a fixture that I’ve always looked at and thought “I’d like to go there”, so we did, and what a glorious day! It was well organised, there were plenty of runners and I had lots of AGA colleagues with me. Anyway, that’s more than enough words, let’s have a look at some photos!
Who is he pointing the camera at now? (Photo taken by Alan Hatt, AGA Northampton)
The action started with a couple of good pony races
Smiles in the sunshine, it was that kind of day!
Yes, Mrs S was giving instructions to Thomas! “Get him settled and sit out the back for the first circuit”… Not sure that Mr Ellis was taking her too seriously!
The first winner of the day, Flicka’s Witness
What did Dickie say to Bridget?
I can see you!
A hug for Johnny Bailey after his win on Sisco Kid
Division 2 of the Open Maiden is in the bag!
It was good to catch up with Tinks and share a glass of homemade raspberry gin (courtesy of Mrs S), nice to see the Cotton sisters and Sara as well!
Another impressive win for Start Royal and Gina Andrews in the Ladies Open, Big Al loves this horse!
Another Roller has turned up, this really is how you picnic in style at a point-to-point meeting!
It would be no surprise to look in the dictionary and find ‘Kazuri Kate’ listed under ‘consistent’!
Tom McClorey (Thetalkinghorse) has just won his first AGA sponsored race, it was also the first time we had sponsored a Confined race
Lots of AGA goodies and a pretty impressive trophy as well!
I think this little fella is ready to go home!
Simon Hart and Martyn Leafe enjoy cheeky glass of bubbly to celebrate a well-earned win for Kazuri Kate
Jenny Pidgeon – a former champion lady rider – has been (and still is) very supportive since I took on the job of looking after the AGA sponsorship, although I have a feeling that I may be in for a telling off if she spots this photo!
Charlie Wadland and Fred Hutsby watch the Restricted
Julie Marles can’t watch…
One more job to do…
PS – hope you enjoyed the photos!
