The finishing line is in sight as we rack up the miles with 3 qualifiers in 3 days on a mammoth weekend for AGA, starting at Peper Harow.
The AGA point-to-point series final is looming large on the horizon and we were in action on all three days of this Bank Holiday weekend, racking up 500+ miles. The first stop was the Surrey Union Hunt PTP at Peper Harow where we had one of our impressive show trailers on display, along with a pretty impressive support team, which included the AGA Home Business boys, Dan & Mark.

Dan and Mark were joined by AGA Divisional Sales Manager, Richard Lawrence, and Miranda Gore Browne. Miranda was a FINALIST on BBC2‘s The Great British Bake Off, and we are pleased to say that she is now working in partnership with AGA, as one of our AGA Approved Ambassadors.

Our AGA race had attracted a very good entry of 17, and 6 were declared to run, with Saveiro a short price to add to the three Ladies Open wins he had already bagged for Caroline Fryer this season.

I’d like to say it was a good race but as those of you who have been to Peper Harow will know, the view is somewhat limited, however, the bits I saw were good, and more to the point we now have another high quality horse on target for our series final at Stratford Racecourse at the end of May!

Miranda was on great form and she joined Richard to present the very nice AGA mementoes to winning rider, Bridget Andrews, and winning owner, David Gibbon.

The AGA stand looked great in the sunshine, and it was very popular, with lots of enquiries about the AGA Dual Control, and the AGA Total Control, as well as our AGA Refrigeration. Our Great British Bake Off Finalist (who recently had a new AGA Total Control cooker installed in her Chalon Kitchen) was very happy to pose for some photos with the AGA boys, Dan and Mark.

The last winner of the day was Behind The Scenes, who won the SEHC Club Members Conditions race for the The Three Mugs and A Vet Partnership. They were all very happy but I didn’t find out which one was the Vet!

The day was far from over because we headed for the lorry park where we were treated to tea and cake, courtesy of the very lovely Andrews family. They were ably assisted by Mr Ellis, Mr Skelton & Mr Davies-Thomas (who also provided the entertainment), along with the resident bull – see below!

And that was it for another day as we headed off into the sunset ready to do it all again tomorrow!
